Castro Valley Sanitary District, or CVSan, is a public agency that has long promoted waste prevention through award-winning programs to educate our community. CVSan has a goal of Zero Waste by 2029. Zero Waste means reducing the volume and toxicity of waste, conserving and recovering all resources, and not burning or burying them.
